Prasad Group of Institutions was envisioned by Prasad Education Trust with an aim to impart excellent education and skill in the field of Engineering, Pharmacy and Management. With this vision, Prasad Institute of Technology was established in 2002.

The institute is approved by AICTE, PCI, Ministry of Education, Government of India, and Government of Uttar Pradesh, Affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and also UP Board of Technical Education (UPBTE), Lucknow.
Er. B. P. YADAV, a visionary and idealist, serves as the chairman of Prasad Education Trust. Mr. Yadav graduated in Electrical Engineering and went on to get an M.Tech from IIT Bombay. Following his academic studies, he traveled extensively over the world as a merchant marine officer. He got a lot of experience, but most significantly, he learned that knowledge is the path to growth and transformation. Mr. Yadav has always been a lively personality with a career of devotion and hard work spanning 30 years. He understands the rich culture of the globe and has seen the numerous educational systems used in other nations.
Er. B.P. Yadav's lifelong commitment to education was finally realized when, at the age of 45, he decided to devote the rest of his life to raising educational standards in India. In 2002, he founded the Prasad Institute of Technology under the Prasad Education Trust in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Since then, the trust has established educational institutions ranging from Pre-KG to PG, including Diploma, Pharmacy, MBA, MBBS and Para-Medical courses.
Jaunpur city is situated in southeastern Uttar Pradesh state, India (i.e. northern India). It straddles the Gomati River, about 35 miles (55 km) northwest of Varanasi (Benares).Jaunpur probably was originally founded in the 11th century but was washed away by Gomati floods. It was rebuilt in 1359 by Fīrūz Shah Tughluq, whose fort still stands. The city was the capital of the independent Muslim kingdom of the Sharqī dynasty (1394–1479). It was conquered by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1559 and fell under British rule in 1775.
Jaunpur contains several old mosques, including the Aṭalā Mosque (1408) and the Jāmiʿ Masjid (Great Mosque; 1478). A splendid bridge, built in the 16th century, spans the Gomati.Jaunpur is an important road and rail junction. It is also an agricultural market with more than half of its own area devoted to agricultural related activities. Almost the entire alluvial plain around the city is under cultivation, much of it irrigated. Crops include rice, corn (maize), barley, and sugarcane. Gomti, Sai, Varuna, Pili, and Basuhi are the five rivers which make its land fertile.
Jaunpur is well-connected with all major cities of India, thanks to Indian Railways. It has four major railway stations: Jaunpur City Railway Station(JOP) and Jaunpur Junction (JNU), Shahganj Junction (SHG), Janghai Junction, Kerakat railway station (KCT). Zafarabad (ZBD) also a railway station where’s many train routes are diverted i.e. Allahababd, Varanasi, Lucknow Via Sultanpur, Lucknow via Shahganj, Ghazipur via Jaunpur junction.
Jaunpur is well-connected to Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Allahabad and other cities like Azamgarh, Mirzapur, Janghai, Sultanpur, Kerakat, Ghazipur etc. Mariahu NH-56, SH-36 are the roadways connecting all major cities to Jaunpur.Jaunpur to Babatpur NH-56 is now 4-lane highway.
