About

To enhance and broaden the research initiatives at the institute, the PIT R&D Cell has been established and has been operational for several years. The key criteria indicating prospective expansion in research activities include an increase in research publications in peer-reviewed journals, research projects and funding, patents, collaborations, doctoral programs, and faculty development. The Cell is a designated committee comprised of Professors from Engineering, Management, Pharmacy and Applied Sciences Departments.

The PIT R&D Cell oversees and coordinates the research programs of the College. The research review meeting is held to assess the quality of research conducted by different teams. The Research & Development Cell of each department diligently endeavours to familiarise students with contemporary technological advancements via innovative projects and paper presentations.

To attain excellence in Research and Innovation within the domains of Engineering and Management that can benefit society and the nation.

 
  1. To foster research and innovation among students and faculty in partnership with industry, in accordance with the institutional strategic plan.
  2. To convert research endeavours and new concepts into a start-up aligned with AatmaNirbhar Bharat.

Objectives

  1. To foster scientific temper.
  2. To generate innovative ideas on academic and societal problems
  3. To Encourage, Coordinate and Implement Research and Development Programs(workshops/ seminar/ training programs)
  4. To create awareness on evolving technologies and industrial standards for products.
  5. Provide scope for faculty and students to work on latest technologies with industry standards through consultancy projects.
  6. To identify and inform researchers about the appropriate research opportunities announced by different academic, research, industry or government organizations.
  7. To encourage and facilitate the publication of the research work/projects in reputed academic journals and conferences.
  8. To develop, prescribe and administered rules and regulations to ensure the compliance of all Researchers to the research quality assurance framework and the research code.
  9. To encourage Core Competence and Consultancy work.
  10. To create awareness about filing Patents and IPR.
  11. To create a platform for obtaining sponsored projects.
  12. To provide consultancy services to the society/industry.
  13. To promote inter- disciplinary/ multi disciplinary research.

ShortTerm Goals

  1. To incentivise academics and students to engage in seminars, conferences, and workshops, therefore disseminating their expertise and experiences.
  2. To incentivise teachers and students to present and publish research articles in esteemed national and international publications, and to provide a copy to the Research and Development Cell.
  3. Initiate a research program in engineering and technology, financed by national and international research organisations.
  4. To incentivise teachers and students to conceptualise, construct, and execute feasible functional projects that benefit the school.

    5. The institution may offer financial assistance and resources.

LongTerm Goals

  1. Commencing the establishment of a Research Centre in the Engineering, Management and Pharmacy sectors,
  2. Emphasising the significance of a culture or movement in which research and academia are mutually reinforcing. Both are essential for enhancing the quality of education in our country.

R & D Cell Members

The Cell is a designated committee comprised of Professors from Engineering, Management, Pharmacy and Applied Sciences Departments.The organisational structure comprises a Director, Principal, Committee Members, and Coordinators to facilitate the cell's normal operations.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell

This cell is headed by Er Govind Kumar Maurya, TPO and Asst. Prof., Dept of EE. It helps student community to conduct research work and survey for identifying entrepreneurial opportunities Functions To invite eminent personalities from small and large industries and organize seminars and workshops with them. To motivate students to become entrepreneurs.
