CODING CLUB

ABOUT

Coding Club is a student-driven, multidisciplinary technical club open to students of all engineering branches. The club is a common platform where students learn, build, and compete beyond the classroom syllabus.

Through regular bootcamps, workshops, expert talks on trending technologies, coding contests, hackathons, and collaborative projects, the club helps students turn theoretical knowledge into practical skills. By bringing students from different branches together, it encourages interdisciplinary teamwork of the kind modern industry demands, such as software with embedded systems, automation with mechanical design, and smart energy solutions.

The club functions under the guidance of the Director and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), with faculty members from different departments and an elected student core team.

VISION

To cultivate a dynamic culture of innovation, perpetual learning, and technical proficiency among students across all engineering disciplines.

MISSION

  1. To provide hands-on learning in current and emerging technologies.
  2. To promote collaboration among students of all engineering branches through interdisciplinary projects.
  3. To connect students with industry experts, alumni, and the wider technical community.
  4. To nurture entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and ethical use of technology.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Skill development: To organize workshops, bootcamps, and training sessions on programming, AI/ML, web and app development, IoT, embedded systems, automation, and other in-demand skills.
  2. Awareness of trends: To conduct regular talks and discussions on trending technologies and industry developments. To promote collaboration among students of all engineering branches through interdisciplinary projects.
  3. Competitive coding: To improve problem-solving and logical thinking through coding contests and competitive programming practice.
  4. Hackathons and innovation: To organize internal hackathons and encourage participation in state, national, and international ones such as Smart India Hackathon.
  5. Interdisciplinary collaboration: To promote joint projects among students of different branches that combine software, electronics, and mechanical design.
  6. Project-based learning: To guide students in developing mini and major projects, prototypes, and research papers, with support for patents and startup ideas.
  7. Industry and alumni interaction: To build links with industry and alumni through expert lectures, internships, industry visits, and MoUs.
  8. Placement and career readiness: To improve employability through aptitude, technical interview, resume, and communication training, and through certification drives (NPTEL, Coursera, etc.).
  9. Peer learning and leadership: To develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills by giving students the responsibility of planning and running club activities.
  10. Open-source and community contribution: To encourage the use of open-source tools and Git/GitHub, and to take up technology-based community and social outreach activities.
