ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree prepares students and corporate body to become leaders in different areas of business. A rapidly changing world of business demands the MBA to constantly keep pace. There is no one background that aligns with pursuing an MBA, or even getting accepted into an MBA program. Many MBA candidates have backgrounds in engineering, business, non-profit, humanities and arts, and more. Depending on your interests and career goals, you can also choose from areas of specialized learning in concentrations such as Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, Retail Management, International Business Management and Human Resource. The processes of work at the Institute are designed for integrated growth of students encompassing academic excellence and development of professional & life skills. Every process in ‘Teaching-Learning ‘Process has been identified and incorporated into the pedagogical design. This ensures delivery of quality output at pre-determined timelines. Apart from providing quality education, emphasis is on to develop leadership qualities, risk-taking abilities and decision-making skills right from the beginning of their professional education.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO's)

  1. To nurture the students of the Management program for analytical and practical approach to problem solving and function effectively as well as skilled managers who can respond to changing environment in a social and global context.
  2. To develop the students for work in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams for more effective problem solving and understand the principles of group dynamics, Team work and growth of Management profession.
  3. To encourage and train the students as a way that they can pursue higher studies, start independent ventures, thereby contributing to the fields of Education and Business world.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO's)

  1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

The faculties are using multimedia elements LCD projectors in the Class room. It will help the faculties to represent the content in a more meaningful way using different media elements.

NPTEL

Students are advised to register for MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) and watch NPTEL and SWAYAM videos and the students are encourage to write assignment in classroom, students are encouraged to give presentations to improve their basic knowledge, communication skills in the respective subject

PLACEMENT

The Institute has been aware of two main important facts: Firstly, that the interaction with the corporate world during summer placement helps the students to sharpen their managerial and incisive skills and, secondly, the performance of a professional institute is gauged in terms of the quality of placements to its outgoing batches. As such, the Institute has established a full-fledged and well-equipped Training and Placement Cell which provides active support to the students in getting quality summer/Project training as well as final placements.
